Dr. Vijay Jain M.D. brings 40 years of experience in General Surgery and 20 years of focused study of Integrative Medicine to his engaging integration of traditional/Western medicine with ancient Ayurvedic medicine. In addition to his Ayurveda practice, Dr. Jain teaches Ayurvedic certificate courses on behalf of International University of Yoga and Ayurveda which he co-founded in 2013. He specializes in Ayurvedic Detoxification (Panchakarma) therapies and Rasayana (Tissue tonifying) therapies for chronic life style diseases and graceful ageing. Dr. Jain also co-authored a book titled “Unfolding Happiness” based on the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Michele has her degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. In 2001, Michele received both her 200-Hour Teacher Training Certification and her 500-Hour Professional Yoga Therapist Certification from Integrative Yoga Therapy. In 2006, Michele received an additional 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Shiva Shakti Synthesis. Michele is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Instructor. She also completed and received her certification in Amrit Yoga Teacher Training in September 2011 and Amrit Yoga Nidra Facilitator certification in October of 2011. In August of 2014, Michele received her certification as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant from International University of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Janice has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has taught yoga for 18 years. As one of the founders of Center for Wholeness, a non-profit organization, Janice has completed training not only at Kripalu and with Integrative Yoga Therapy in the Professional Yoga Therapist Program, she has also studied other schools of hatha yoga as well as other branches of yoga. Her teachers include Todd Norian, Stephen Cope, Mary Lou Weprin, Joseph LePage, Richard Miller, PhD., and Vijay Jain, M.D. Additionally, she is trained in Ayurveda and Polarity Therapy. Since 2000, she has facilitated a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-approved training program, and in 2005 she began offering an advanced 500-hour Yoga Alliance-approved therapeutic yoga program entitled ShivaShakti Synthesis; in 2014 the ShivaShakti Synthesis, LLC partners renamed the program the Samyoga Institute.
For the last 25 years Kamini has created unique body of teachings combining the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern psychology.
Trained at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health with degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from Smith College and La Salle University, and as daughter of one of the original yoga masters who pioneered yoga in the West, Kamini has served as Director of Wellness at Yarrow, an executive retreat center in Michigan, and on faculty of the Foxhollow Leadership Center.
She is now the Education Director and Core Curriculum Developer of the Amrit Yoga Institute; a cutting edge teaching center for advanced studies in eastern philosophy. She is one of Founding Directors of the International University of Yoga and Ayurveda with Dr. Vijay K Jain, MD.
